Faith-Based Sober Living

Changing Gaits also offers a separate program for Faith-Based Sober Living. It is built on the premise of lifelong sobriety. We offer a faith-based residential sober living program that guides men through the transition from early recovery to independent living, focusing on sobriety and personal growth. The location is on a beautiful, expansive, and serene 80 acre ranch in Brook Park, Minnesota. Our unique extended-care sober living program supports and promotes each person's recovery and healing in a spiritually uplifting environment.

Changing Gaits Sober Living Community is more than a sober house or a halfway house. We are a structured framework with a faith-based supportive environment designed to help men in early recovery from drug addiction and alcoholism learn how to incorporate and internalize values and behaviors critical for successful long-term recovery and to maintain healthy independent living.

At Changing Gaits we believe that lasting change can only come by the transformative power of God. We strive to provide a clean sober environment to allow the spirit of God to empower our residents to achieve their goal of lasting sobriety. “If nothing has changed, it’s because nothing has changed!”

Sober Living Testimonials

"Today I am one year sober. The first time I said the words out loud I almost went in shock. I couldn’t stay sober for more than a day prior to this year. I would go to meetings and see people get a one year and think to myself there is no way I would ever achieve that. But with Christ, I did. He saved my life.

My point is Jesus is real. He picked me up at my lowest and not only saved my life but gave me purpose. I am now in school to become a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I couldn’t do this without the support of Guy Kaufman and Changing Gaits. God put him in my life for a reason. Next Day Access got the call to put a lift in at Changing Gaits because it served as a catalyst for this man to make the greatest comeback you will ever see. Thank you Guy. I could never repay you for what you have done.

I give all credit to my Creator and my Savior, Jesus Christ. As Paul wrote in Corinthians, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord”. He deserves all the glory and credit. Worship just a little bit louder next time and pray for those who are still lost and suffering. God Bless."
